Welcome to Cynnabar

The Barony of Cynnabar is a chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Cynnabar is one of the many baronies in the Pentamere Region of the Middle Kingdom, the third oldest kingdom in the SCA. We are bordered by the Barony of Roaring Wastes, the Barony of Northwoods, and the Shire of Talonval.

Cynnabar hosts a large variety of weekly and monthly events in addition to our weekly business meetings.

Martial events include weekly Heavy Weapons Practice, Fencing, and (during the summer) Archery and melee practices.

Cynnabar has many arts and sciences to expore as well: weekly craft nights and singing practice as well as monthly Dance Workshops, Garb Workdays and Heraldry Nights along with occasional educational workshops and period game nights. Other activities include a Brewer's Guild and a Renaissance Dance Band.

Anyone is welcome to attend any of our events. Loaner weapons, armor, clothing, music and more are available for newcomers!

St. Cecilia At The Tower II: May 18, 2013

St. Cecilia at the Tower is a workshop for the purpose of helping musicians who play Medieval and Renaissance music to improve their craft. All instruments and voices, ancient and modern, are welcome.
