The Summer 2016 issue of the Citadel, the newsletter of the Barony of Cynnabar, is now available.


The Barony of Cynnabar is a chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Cynnabar hosts several events and demos throughout the year where we re-create the Middle Ages. In addition to these events we also have regular practices where we teach and learn our skills.

Regularly scheduled activities include:

Anyone is welcome to attend any of our demos, practices or events. Loaner weapons, armor, clothing, music and more are available for newcomers!

    Pre-Meeting Workshop - Period Games with TH Lady Ceara

    Learn more about period gaming and play a few games with Lady Ceara! Lots of games can be played at events or just at home with your friends. Come learn something new to play at this year's Wassail or Pentamere 12th Night where there will be more opportunities to play!

    Workshops are held in the same location as the Baronial Business meetings from 6:30 pm until approx 7:25 pm about an hour before the meeting begins.
