Award of the Tower’s Light

Awarded to Úlfrún Barefooted (modernly known as Becky Larner Lyons)

By the Barony of Cynnabar on 2019-03-30

What gain can there be | in the gift of Gautr
If once-spoken words | wane in memory?
Where is the mind’s worth | of weapon wielders
When the fire-farewelled | are fully forgotten?
Speeches and exploits | are speedily spent,
Everlasting only | in Óðinn’s furrows.

Cynnabar’s Ermenrich, | silver-severer,
And land-guarding Kasha, | law-elucidator,
Before the folkmoot, | the force of ivory,
To artist most able, | Úlfrún Barefooted,
Our Tower’s Light thus | We deliver with laud:
For she chisels the deeds | of Our cherished children
Into the ore-mother, | the earth’s very bones.

Let none countermand Our words.
